The Ironman race works like this:
  1. Train for years
  2. Train every single day, starting six months in advance of the race.
  3. Sign up for the race.
  4. Start by swimming 4 km.
  5. Rip off the wet suit and bike for 180 km.
  6. Jump off the bike and run for 42 km.
  7. Get your IRONMAN tatoo! (It's OK to rest first!)

All through high school, Michelle was always looking for note for the teacher to get out of going to Phys. Ed., but in university, she started working out at the gym.

On July 25, 2004 in Lake Placid N. Y., Michelle finished the Ironman in 14 hours, 48 minutes and 7 seconds! A few days later, Michelle wrote her account of the day. "THE Day In Her Life"

Lynne, Jordan, Christine and I went to watch this monumental event. We were exhausted just from running around trying to see here wherever we could along the way.
