One day, Jordan came and told us the he wanted to play football. It was a bit of a surprise, as Jordan, like both of us, are generally the least athletic people you'll ever meet.

Jordan (82) and his buddy Kevin (99) signed up and played the season.

Jordan wanted to quit, and I wanted to quit something I was doing that summer too! As I did the fatherly thing and explained the importance of carrying through with a commitment, the words bounced back to me at the same time.

We both finished our commitments that fall!
