Stephen Clements and I went to New York City to walk the Internet World trade show. It was 90 days after the 911. The day the World Trade Center was brought down.

There had been a moment of silence called for on the plane as we arrived in the city.

We spent one morning touring the site as best we could. There was still smoke coming from parts of the piles of rubble.

We could only get to within about a block of the fences surrounding the area. There are many shots that combine a distance shot and then a close up of the same spot on a building.

One of the things that was amazing to me was how high up windows were boarded up on some of the surrounding buildings. In some cases, these buildings were a city block or more away from what was left of the towers.
